Rules for the WG Sport Center Indoor Soccer Tournament
1. Participants:
- The tournament will consist of teams with up to 10 players per team.
- Teams must be registered before the tournament starts, and no changes can be made to the roster once the tournament has begun.
- Each team must have at least 7 players to participate.
2. Duration of Matches:
- Matches will be played in two halves of 15 minutes each.
- There will be a 5-minute break between the two halves.
- In case of a tie, a 15-minute extra time will be played with golden goal rules or, if the tie persists, the match will be decided by penalty kicks.
3. Type of Field:
• The tournament will be played on an indoor soccer field.
4. Scoring System:
- Win: 3 points.
- Draw: 1 point.
- Loss: 0 points.
- The teams with the most points at the end of the group stage will advance to the next round.
5. Competition Format:
- The tournament will be divided into a group stage followed by knockout rounds.
- In case of a tie in points in the group stage, the following tiebreakers will apply:
- Goal difference.
- Goals scored.
- Result between the tied teams.
- Draw, if the tie persists.
6. Players and Substitutions:
- Players must wear proper sports attire, including jerseys, shorts, socks, and appropriate shoes for artificial turf or indoor play. Tennis shoes with cleats will not be allowed.
- Each team can make up to 10 substitutions during the match. Substitutions must be made in designated areas and with the referee’s consent.
7. Rules of the Game:
- The team that kicks off will be determined by a coin toss before the match.
- The ball is considered in play as long as it has not fully crossed the field’s boundaries (either out of bounds on the sides or goal lines).
- The game time is kept by the referee. The referee has the authority to stop the clock for force majeure situations, but generally, no extra time is added after the 15-minute halves.
8. Conduct on the Field:
- The referee’s decision is final in all matters.
- Standard soccer rules apply with the following exceptions:
- No use of the hands, except by the goalkeeper within their area.
- No violent tackles or unsportsmanlike behavior.
- A yellow card will be issued for minor fouls (warning), and a red card will be issued for serious fouls (expulsion).
9. Prizes:
- The winning team will receive a prize [insert prize details] and medals for the players.
